The Department of Periodontology at Bacha Khan Dental College provides a facility focusing on prevention, diagnosis, treatment and providing support to patients having periodontal disorders and those with compromised oral hygiene.
The treatments provided by the department are Manual Scaling, Ultrasonic Scaling, Polishing, Root planning (closed & open), Fluoride Therapy, treatment of Enlarged gums, Crown lengthening, Treatment of Black gums, Gummy Smile Treatment, Frenectomy, Apicectomy,, Bleaching, Mobile tooth treatment (Splinting), Gum Graft Procedures, Flap Procedures and Oral hygiene maintenance support.
ACADEMICS
Being an Undergraduate teaching facility, the prime center of the Department are our students. The subject of Periodontology is taught at the level of 3rd Year Bachelors’ of Dental Science (BDS). At the Department, we aim to provide an environment that equips our students with the latest knowledge, skills and technology in the field of Periodontology so as to energize their potential in diagnosis, periodontal therapies and monitoring patients’ response to the given treatments.
FACILITIES
Periodontology Department is providing public services of patient-care by highly qualified and competent staff. The Department comprises of a well-equipped ward area, Demonstration room and Staff working areas.
