Intorduction of BKCD
Dentistry in Mardan started out as dental department in the year 2011 as part of MTI MMC. The first batch of college had 25 students of BDS, which has been increased to 50 in the year 2020. Over the years the college has flourished and produced top level dental graduates who are now working in different hospitals all around the country and abroad.
The first years of BDS is mostly academic to teach students dental anatomy and physiology along with basic medical subjects. In seconds year advanced subjects are introduced to the students along with community dentistry which involves community exposure and epidemiology. The 3rd and final years are mostly clinical and students spend their time in hospital during the day to learn and practice clinical skills under the supervision of qualified faculty members.

BKCD was a vision, and I was fortunate enough to have had the hardworking and dedicated faculty members along with me who helped bringing the dream of an independent dental college in Mardan to reality. Over the years the college has flourished and become a prominent dental institution in the country. Our students are consistent top position holders in annual university examinations.
Here in Bkcd we take pride in our way of teaching and our highly qualified faculty members. Over the years we have employed young consultants to bring new ideas and energy to keep up with the changing trends in dental college teachings. Our senior faculty members are highly experienced and dedicated and without whom the college wouldn’t have progressed as quicky and efficiently as it did.

Prosthodontics is a specialized branch of dentistry dedicated to making dental prosthetics for damaged or missing teeth.

Orthodontics refers to services relating to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of oro-facial irregularities, skeletal abnormalities.

Oral Medicine is the specialty of dentistry responsible for the oral health care of medically complex patients.

Department of Prosthodontics
Prof. Dr. Munir Khan
Prof. Dr. Munir Khan is a pioneer supervisor in dentistry (Prosthodontics) since 2014. He is also among the pioneers of Bacha khan College of Dentistry since its inception back in 2012. He is CPSP examiner since last seven years for FCPS-2 and IMM Prosthodontics. He has a vast teaching experience to undergraduate and post graduate residents. He had done enormous contributions in the field of Research and has presented his research work both locally and in international conferences.
The department of Prosthodontics at Bacha Khan dental college provides a very friendly academic environment to the students. The college is dedicated to providing professional graduate, and postgraduate education, conduct dental research and deliver state-of-the-art patient care and public service. The department has under graduate and post graduate trainees. The department is well equipped with all the facilities/equipment and fully efficient in rendering advanced quality care to the patients.
Community and Preventive Dentistry
Dr Muhammad Naeem
Dr Muhammad Naeem (Assocaite Professor) working as a Head of Department Community and Preventive Dentistry Bacha Khan College of Dentistry Mardan KPK. Dr Muhammad Naeem did his BDS, Mphil & MPH from a reputable instityte. Certified in Management of Human Resource for Healthfrom Queen Magratte University UK. CHPE (KMU). Cer.Hospital Managment from COMSTEC Islamabad.
Community Dentistry is a dynamic field of Dentistry to equipt the students with basic knowledge and skills for early diagnosis management and prevention of common oral disaeses. It also provide an opportunity to the undergraduate students to aware community through oral health education and school health education programme for prevention of common oral disaeses.
Oral Biology
Dr. Wajiha Qamar
I am Dr. Wajiha Qamar. I did my BDS from Sardar Begum Dental College Peshawar in 2010. I did my M.Phill in oral bilogy from SBDC in the year 2015. After my masters i got the opportunity to join Bacha Khan College of Dentistry Mardan as an assistant professor and head of department of oral biology in 2015.i got promoted to associate professor in january 2021 and have been serving here ever since.
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
Dr. Ahmed Khan
Professor Dr. Ahmed Khan did his BDS from Khyber College of Dentistry Peshawar in 1997 and FCPS in OMFS in 2010. he also did MHPE from KMU in 2017.He started his career in BKCD as Assistant professor in 2012. He is a pioneer of Bacha Khan College of Dentistry and has been working here since the very begining. He is the supervisor of FCPS and MCPS in OMFS and also an examiner in CPSP. He has special interest in medical education and research, and has published more than 20 research articles in different national and international journals and presented them in different conferences.
Oral Pathology
Dr. Waqar-Un-Nisa
I am Dr. Waqar-Un-Nisa, working as the head of department of Oral Pathology in BKCD. I did my BDS from SBDC Peshawar and M.phill in oral pathology from armed forces institute of pathology in 2013. I joined BKCD in 2015 and have been working here ever since. i also completed my MHPE from KMU in 2019. Currently i am looking forward to translate oral pathology into clinical practice and amalgamate the subject with other disciplines and professors for better teaching and learning.
Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics
Dr. Sadia Nisar
Pioneer orthodontist in district Mardan and surrounding districts. Developed the department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from preliminary stage till the level of post-graduation. Now the department is serving as a prime facility for provision of state of the art management to the community.
Operative Dentistry and Endodontics
Dr. Ghulam Ishaq khan
I did my BDS from Khyber College of Dentistry Peshawar in 2008. I have served in federal public service commision for four years. I did my FCPS training in Operative Dentistry and Endodontics from Fatima Memorial Hospital Lahore in 2018. I am ambitious about my field and i enjoy teaching. I am a strong advocate of personal development and becoming a role model for my students in professional career

Dr. Nadia Mansoor
Welcome to Bacha Khan College of Dentistry Mardan. I am Dr. Nadia Mansoor. I did my BDS and postgraduate training from Khyber College of Dentistry Peshawar. I did FCPS in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in january 2013. I have been working been as head of Oral Medicine Department since 2018. Along with oral surgeon and physician, i am also a certified laser dentist.
Pediatric Dentistry
Dr. Usman Nazir
Pediatric dentistry is an age defined specialty that provides both primary and specialty, comprehensive, preventive and therapeutic oral health care for infants and children through adolescence including those with special health care needs. The Department aims at integrating all the disciplines of Pediatric dentistry for better patient care and graduating exceptional dental professionals who can translate their knowledge into clinical practice that will promote the oral health of the community.
Anatomy
Dr. Rabia Inam Gandapore
Dr. Rabia Inam Gandapore is currently working as the Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Human Anatomy at the Bacha Khan College of Dentistry, Mardan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. She completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at Sardar Begum Dental College, Gandhara University, Peshawar, and her Master of Philosophy degree in Human Anatomy from Khyber Medical University, Peshawar. Miss Gandapore has 6.5 years of clinical experience in General Dentistry and more than 2 years of teaching experience in Human Anatomy. Miss Gandapore's comprehensive and multi-expertise would allow her to execute the role of Assistant Professor and Head of Department Anatomy and its allied duties effectively with a proactive approach and display a great work ethic. She is confident that her contribution would be a valuable asset to Bacha Khan College of Dentistry with a strong commitment to the educational field to serve the institute.

Dr. Zarmina Hussain
I am Dr. Zarmina Hussain. I did my MBBS from Khyber Medical College in 2006. I have done FCPS training from Hayatabad Medical Complex Peshawar in 2011 after that i did M.Phill in Hematology(Pathology) from Khyber Medical University Peshawar in 2020. I Have been working as Assistant professor in Bacha Khan College of Dentistry with the vigour to flourish the institute and enlighten the young doctors with my knowledge and experience.
